I had an ultrasound yesterday, at my 31 week appointment. My placenta has moved up enough that it won't impede with the birth. No c section, wahoo!
I have never had a third trimester ultrasound and it was so fun. Her little face actually looked like one of my babies. I could already see the family resemblance. The kids were so excited to see her face. Mary thought she looked like her, Joe thought she looked like Em, and Em thought she looked like all of them.
Mary looked at the picture for a long time, seeming to soak in her little sister as much as possible. Then she said, "Mom, her face is finally all ready. Now her body needs to finish cooking and she can come out!" It made me smile.
Emily can't wait to go shopping for some baby clothes. She is my little fashionista.
Will is planning out exactly how it will go when Kate is here and grandma comes.
Joe is excited for all of the great things that happen around the birth: visiting mom, doing things with grandma, dad being home from work.
Mary wants to hold her.
Ben is blissfully ignorant about soon being displaced. Honestly, though, it is so precious watching my baby turn into a big sibling. Every time it is wonderful. Children love babies.
I am so excited to meet little Kate, but I am also so enjoying watching my children's excitement growing. Babies are magical and amazing. Nine weeks to go!
